Patria Bank

Patria Bank is a Romanian bank, founded in 1993 as Banca Romexterra, later renamed Nextebank. &If the bank's main shareholder became the Emerging Europe Accession Fund (EEAF) on April 30, 2014, this change brought the launch of the new brand under which the bank operates since March 2016: Patria Bank.

&In spring 2016 Patria Bank became majority shareholder îin Banca Comercială Carpatica S.A., with a stake of over 60% and we started the merger process between the two banks. Banca Comercială Carpatica was established in 1999 in Sibiu and since 26.04.2005, the shares of Banca Comercial Comercial Carpatica have been listed in the Premium category of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, being included in the BETPlus, BET-XT, BET-XT-TR, BET-BK indices.

Following the completion of the procedural steps, from 1 May 2017 the 2 institutions became one single, larger and stronger bank. The new Patria Bank continues to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange îin the Premium category.

The Patria Bank Group is majority owned by the Emerging Europe Accession Fund (EEAF), whose main investors are important and renowned institutions such as the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), the EIF (European Investment Fund) and other major European institutions.
