The history of Patria Credit began in 1996, initially as a program of World Vision, then evolved into a foundation and later an NFI.
Currently Patria Credit is one of the largest NFIs in Romania in the microfinance sector, with over 15 years of experience in lending and over 12,000 clients financed over the years.
Patria Credit IFN is part of Patria Bank Group.

European Microfinance Network (EMN), a European organisation assisting the fight îagainst social and financial exclusion and playing an active role în building a European legislative and regulatory framework for the microfinance market. It includes more than 90 members and partners from over 21 European countries.
Microfinance Centre (MFC), a regional microfinance resource organisation bringing together 106 organisations (including 77 NFIs) îin 34 countries in Europe, Central Asia and beyond, which îtogether provide responsible microfinance services to over 1,000,000 low-income clients.
